Trapeze School

Since I haven't blogged in a long time I figure that I owe you a really good one. So here you go:

I'm happy to announce that I've officially ran away and joined the circus. Okay, so it was only for a day but it was a magical day and I dream of going back permanently. We had an offsite on Friday where I got to try my hand at walking the tightrope (only 3 feet off the ground), trampolining (I'm hooked!) and the flying trapeze (30 feet in the air!!). I'm serious! It was amazing. Here is my photographic proof (click on the first photo to get to the short album):

And for my final act, I have video of my flying trapeze act. I was completely terrified to jump off the platform the first time. Terrified!! The second time was much easier. I did well so they invited me to try a CATCH with one of their performers. This is the most exciting thing I've ever done. Pretty sure. If I had known how that I would get to do this I would have worn a sparkly body suit or something. :) Check me out!

Coolest thing ever? Right?! You need to run out right now and try this at a circus school near you! It's a crazy rush and so much fun! I know you have an inner circus performer inside dying to get out.

When I uploaded my video into YouTube it suggested a related video to me of Kelly Ripa. I think I'm much better at it than she is, but this video is a pretty good representation of trapeze school. You can check it out here:

If you want to see the most amazing trapeze act of all time I suggest you check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Nku_P2Fyww. It's terrifying to me. I literally got sweaty palms just watching it. I guess I've got a long way to go before circus recruiters start calling me! :)

awesome! I'm very impressed. I've heard there were a lot of sore muscles among the admins for the next week.
The funny thing is we all did stuff like this on the bars at school when we were kids. Why are we proportionately stronger then than when we're adults?

I am so jealous! I would love to try this out (when I have my balance back).

Good for you for mustering up the courage!
